The chef

Chef Joseph

Jean-Joseph Zephir, known to everyone as Joseph

More than 20 years in the kitchen. Joseph honed his craft alongside great chefs in Paris, but it is from his roots that he draws what matters most: the flavours of Haiti, the gestures passed down in his family, the living memory of Caribbean kitchens.

His cooking is born from that meeting: the discipline learned in great kitchens, put to work for the flavours of his Haitian and Caribbean roots. Precise seasoning, and Haitian generosity on every plate.

Our story

Born elsewhere. At home here.

Haiti, Saint-Martin, France… then Benin, with his family. In his first year, Jean-Joseph knew no one. Three years later, Bazla has become much more than a restaurant: a home where you are welcomed like family.
